Rescue cat is suddenly very pregnant | UPDATE: we have kittens!

Sister took in a mama cat and two kittens in late June - she's a tiny little thing and suddenly looks massively pregnant! Expecting kittens any day soon which is exciting but I also feel awful for her having two litters in such a short time.

We absolutely didn't know she was pregnant - she's a house cat now and hasn't been out. Far too late to do a spay abort now too!

The kittens will have good homes at least and Mama cat will be spayed asap!

Oh bless her heart! I think I may have lay on the couch in that exact position with my tongue out just before DS was born 😆

That is what my sister said! 🤣

She was dumped at the farm where I work along with four kittens. All have good homes (I have one, though I'm not home and don't have pics on this phone!) he could really do with a playmate so one might be coming to live with me 😁

Oh my gosh look!

One black with a small but of white, one grey (maybe brown?) tabby. Not sure if what sexes they are yet though.

It's not a good idea to handle newborn kittens, it can be stressful for the mum cat. Unless there seems to be something wrong with the kittens you shouldn't pick them up until about two weeks. Also, there's a name on your photos that you may want to remove!

Thanks for mentioning the name! Can't believe I did that!

Weren't really handling them - the bedding was wet so they were picked up and held while it was changed so they didn't get cold. They are safe and will be well cared for, I swear!

Seriously, for anyone concerned they were held in clean hands for maybe 60 seconds (and that's probably on the longer end) while the bedding was changed. Mama cat was right there and not worried!

Mama is booked in for a spay in about 8 weeks - as gorgeous as they are, there's enough kittens in the world!

Have two black (and white) cats already so have to keep the theme going 😂
