Moved from Profender on the neck to Milpro tablet and saw a worm!

I read about how bad on the spot neck treatments for cats were for the environment. So I tried to be good and move our cat's worming treatment to pill form. From Profender to Milpro.

About a month into the treatment my boy was lazing on a windowsill at my eye level while I was sitting down - and I saw a white worm come out of his bum! 🤮 First time I've ever seen one in 4 years (and he catches and eats mice regularly so he definitely needs worming).

We are now straight back on the Profender, not making that mistake again. Are the pills just not as good?

Milpro is an excellent wormer equal to profender. But all the products kill worms on the day they are given if your cat then eats a mouse the next day they can be reinfected. Most worms have a lifecycle of about three weeks.
