Why are foxes so interested in my cat at the window?

Out of interest does anyone else have a cat who is fascinating to foxes? I thought they ignored each other, but Marvin is attracting a small gang of foxy fans. I was woken up last night by horrendous shrieking and crashing and went downstairs to find Marvin had pulled open the shutters and was strutting backwards and forwards on the window sill yowling at a pair of massive foxes. They were right underneath the window staring up at him with extreme interest and shouting back. It's not a one off either - my pet sitter reported it happening a few times whilst we were away recently. It's not as if there are any bins on the road to attract them - just Marvin. It was so dramatic (and noisy!)that the lady across the street was filming it! Any clues what might be going on? Cat tax attached of the fox botherer.

He obviously wants to run away with them and have some adventures. Or they want to eat him.
Either way, Marvin is a beaut!
