Any experience of lumbosacral disease in cats? My 8.5 year old darling girl has been diagnosed following we think a fall. We need to keep her quiet and rested for 4-6 weeks. I've got her in the spare room which has low window sills and we've created some steps for her to get up and down the low futon. I've got her litter tray, water and plenty of soft cushions for her to lie on. Trying for a very gentle quiet play and a brush every now and again and I'm sleeping in there with her every night. We're seeing hello to her every hour or so and spending what time we can with her.
We're on day 3 of 30 and she's just so sad. Her back legs obviously aren't right and she's struggling to get up, but then at other times she seems fine and is trying to get out!
Does anyone have any experiences to share or advice? Can this condition fluctuate? Can they make a full recovery? I'm so worried about her and googling isn't really helping!
