Will my young rescue cats forgive me after another cattery stay?

Two 1 year old rescue cats who I've had since October. They did a short stint in a cattery in May and were said to have been very shy (which the boy usually isn't) but were absolutely fine when they got home and didn't even sulk!

This time they are gong for 10 days and I feel really guilty. Had to keep them in one (big) room overnight as the house is quite big with lots of nooks and crannies and I didn't want to be unable to find them. The boy is now in a massive sulk and the girl, who is skittish anyway, did have a brief cuddle but they obviously know something is up.

Older cat has a sitter come for an hour a day and is fine with that but I feel these are too young for it and the girl doesn't really go out so I was worried she'd be so bored she'd wreck the house! Now wishing I had looked into it more.

Just waiting for ds to come out of the shower and they'll be off. Will they ever forgive me?

Eventually, though don't be surprised if you find a couple of dirty protests when you bring them home. I find bribery usually works to bring mine back round after things like vet visits.

Cats are weird. I went on holiday for 6 days. Came home and cat would not come near me and didn’t want to know me for 4/5 days. Cat was in its own house the whole time, together with other family members who live there permanently. Again, cats are weird.

Yes. My cat is never pleased to see me when I pick her up, but I’m forgiven the moment we get home. She’s been an absolute cuddle bug since she got home two days ago.

It’s a fantastic cattery and they take really good care of her. They post photos so I know she’s fine!
