I'm going to bed in a minute as I am not well and have had a difficult day but I have also discovered that a tiny little stray cat that I've been feeding for a few weeks is pregnant.
She is pretty round and yesterday and today, the hair has fallen out from around her boobies so the kittens can latch and she has a vaginal discharge.
I know she's pregnant because I took her for a scan yesterday as I was concerned about the discharge. I was concerned she had a pyometra but no. There are heartbeats and a £120 bill :(
Does anyone know how soon after they become hairless down there, the babies actually arrive. She's chock full of oxytocin and she is rocking and purring all the time and eating for two.
We have had words and I've booked her in for neutering in six weeks time.
I probably won't be answering tonight. I've had a procedure in hospital and this has come at a terrible time but here we are. Any advice as to when to expect this happy event? I've started asking around for an owner but the state of her when I started feeding her, I think she was dumped. She has no microchip.
I suspect the kitties will be hard to home as she is all black and I understand they are the hardest to home. If they are like her, they will be gorgeous. I love her just as she is. It's Halloween every day here!
TIA
