Darling Joancat (aged 14 and previously the picture of health) has just been diagnosed with anaemia. The vet is doing more tests to work out what type of anaemia it is. If it's immune-mediated haemolytic anaemia then apparently there are steroids that work well. If not, they'll need to do an ultrasound and it looks like there are some possible sinister causes.
Does anyone have any experience? I feel bad because it was only on Friday I realised she was actually ill and took her to the vets. Before that I thought she was just lethargic and off her food because of the heat.
