Kitten names needed, warning Kitty Porn!

So I'e had this wee guy for a week. He needs a name, I'd love something fitting or clever.

He has a bit of attitude and plenty to say for himself but also a snuggle bug.

Current front runners are Leo/Lionel or something like Eddie/Teddy/Freddie, just dont think anything is quite right.

We lost our beloved Lucy over a year ago aged 17 so he has a lot to live up to!

I was thinking Kipling (his markings look slightly ‘wild animal’ to me and brought to mind the Jungle Book). But if you want more of a human name then Rudyard, or Rudy for short!

I also like Hugo as suggested above…he looks quite like a Hugo.

Ettienne, those beautiful markings look like a crown or garland so a fitting name. Also the French variant name for Steven/ Stephen, so
nickname Steve? He is a very fine boy so deserves a very fine name!

Is he definitely a boy? I only ask as he looks a bit tortie and white from the pics, which would make it very likely he’s female? Or is he a blotchy tabby?

I must be older than I look...I've just turned 60. I put off having another cat as I wasn't sure i had another one in me and I didn't want an older cat so soon after saying goodbye to Lucy.

At the end if the day though I'm fit and healthy and no reason I shouldn't be around in 20 years. Adult DSs have assured me that they will be happy to ensure he has a home if anything should happen to me and also to support with vet visits etc. I also think he is far better coming to a good home where he'll be taken care of and loved than where he might end up. Although im sure rescue centres do a lot of due diligence.

We feel blessed although I might not be saying that when he wakes up from his 4 hour nap....😂

I'd say hes a cap and mantle tabby, from googling. Hs back kinda looks like a chipmunk. And yes we've considered Alvin, Theodore and Simon 😁

I've been assured he's a boy. I've always had girls in the past and he definitely looks different.
