Please give me your cats weight loss success stories!

If your cat needed to lose weight, and you managed to achieved this, please could you tell me what you did (what you fed and how much etc). How long did it take and was it difficult at first while they got used to their new portions? My cats need to lose 1kg and I know they are going to be shouting at me for cutting their food intake 🙈 looking for success stories please

View it as a marathon, not a sprint. Reduce their daily portions very gradually month by month. Look into puzzle feeders. Research if they’re on the best food type for them. Seek advice from your vets, they may run clinics for weight loss. My cat is gradually losing weight and this is how it’s working for us. Been dieting for several months now but the vet nurse is happy with our progress! Good luck!

Dcat was 5.1 kg last October.. Now 4.6!!
Changed his food to 'senior' . Tesco /Aldi own brand wet and dry.
Vet is very happy.

I have a success story. Swapped the usual biscuits for low calorie Smilla Light Poultry biscuits, and limited treats to one licky lyx a day. An occasional tin of high quality tuna soft food. She lost half a kilo in a month without any restrictions or complaints . Good luck.
