Has better weather and more stimulation reduced my cat's interest in play?

Hello all!
Just asking out of interest really, but over the past few weeks, the weather has got better so Marvin has spent more time outside in his buggy. We have also had work done on the house and he fallen in love with the decorator 😻. All this means his days are full of excitement and more interaction, but I am really surprised as to how much his interest in playing has dropped off. I did think that playing met a specific need around hunting but it seems that as long as Marvin gets sleepy sunbathing times in the buggy and rough pets from Andrew he's happy - cat tax of Marvin waiting for Andrew to turn up paid

Handsome Marvin! I don’t really play with Louie as much when he’s out a lot - from October to April we have quite “structured playtime” that I factor into the evening routine every night as he’s out a lot less and I don’t want him being bored.

He brings a toy if he wants me to play with him, whereas in the wintry months I will instigate playing with him.

My girls have little interest in playing during spring and summer, tho they get out more during the day so are much less interested in play. One evening and just want to sleep!
