She's died

Just that really. I came downstairs in the morning after hearing a little cry, and she'd died in her bed. She was 13 and I'd had her for 9 years and she was my little furry buddy, especially since I also lost my husband.
I just can't get rid of the shock of finding her.
Health wise she was fine so I assume it must have been a sudden event like her heart or a stroke.
I now feel TOTALLY alone in the house.

She is beautiful, OP. And I love a chatty cat.

Oh I think I recognise Luna! Have you posted about her before - beautiful markings. I am so sorry for your loss. It must be such a shock and very sad on top of all your losses. What a beautiful baby. I'm so sorry you're feeling this awful pain, it's just awful.
Please try and find solace in the fact you gave her a happy safe life, and allowed her to feel loved and cherished.
It still hurts like fuck though.

I’m so sorry about your gorgeous Luna. Although this doesn’t help with the shock and grief, try to take some comfort knowing that she died without any prolonged suffering in a warm, familiar and comfortable place.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your beautiful Luna. It’s so painful I know. I lost my 17 year old kitty back in November and I’m still beyond heartbroken. Sending you lots of strength and love.

Tortie dcats are special! My very first dcat was one! I still remember aged 7 taking her tiny self home on the bus in my coat.
I'm 54 now! How the special moments stick with us.

Oh that face, you can see she was special! 😍 I'm so so sorry, I know how awful it is - lost my girl suddenly two months ago - the same way, a cry and then gone. I was glad she was at home though, and hope you can find comfort in that in due course...

I’m so sorry OP, she was gorgeous.

We lost our young boy on the road a few days ago. I’ve got so much else going on that I don’t really think I’ve processed it in any way, it feels like just another shit thing that’s happened recently. It won’t be the right decision for anyone but we’re going to get new rescues almost straight away as we just need something happy and fun in the house (the road our boy got to was bloody miles away so we’re not replacing cats in a dangerous area). Maybe one day it will feel right, or you will see a cat that feels right.

Be kind to yourself, losing a pet is such a big loss x
