Best brands of dry food for an indoor adult cat?

I usually buy the Royal Canin British Shorthair dry food. My cat is indoors only and I have been advised to mainly just stick with dry. I was reading that Royal Canin, although good, isn't the best option as they do tend to put some additives and grains in it. Do you have any other brands to recommend on a similar price range?
Not keen on subscription based ones.
Thanks!

Can you get the Wellness brand in the UK? It’s top shelf for quality and our vet recommends it. They have a chicken for indoor cats dry food that our two love and have done really well on.

If your cat likes RC then on the back of the large packet it shows you how much to feed. Either dry only or a mix of wet and dry. Rc do bsh wet pouches. Our bsh has been on RC dry only for his 2 years with occasional pieces of fresh mackerel and chicken. He gets a lot of exercise indoors and is quite muscular, they can be a bit lazy, how much exercise does your cat have. outdoors he doesn't do much except sit and stare at unseen creatures.

My two cats are happy on a couple of tins of Applaws each a day, and a bowl of dry biscuits at night (Lily's Kitchen). They've stopped eating wildlife since giving them the bedtime biscuits!

As my vet said to me the best food is the one your cat will eat.
My cat gets Felix as good as it looks wet then Purina one dry.
