New tiny kitten

Hello! We have acquired a teeny kitten (supposedly 9 weeks old) but she’s the runt and is very small.
i haven’t weighed her, we only got her today.
We’ve kitten proofed the lounge and are keeping the dog and the other cat away.
She has one snotty eye which I’m cleaning every couple of hours with cooled saline solution
I’ve bought kitten milk and dry and wet food (the same as she was having where she came from).
Shes done a wee and a loose poo in the litter tray and mostly slept. She wasn’t interested in the food or water or saucer of milk so I syringed about 5ml warm kitten milk into her and that woke her up a bit. she then ate a little wet food.

are we doing the right things?

So Penny is now free to enjoy the great outdoors, with Merlin keeping a brotherly eye out for her! So lovely!

When she is a liitle madam in years to come ( and she will be , she has tortoiseshell markings . I was owned by a tortoiseshell , I know ) you'll be able to look back at this thread and her journey and think how she has progressed .

My Mini Panthers can be right little gobshites (they're 8 yo ) but they came to CPL with a less than happy start in life so they feel justified in their tardiness .
They've been with us 7 years and still have the attitude (cattitude) of :
"Well we're just staying as it suits us for now but as soon as something better comes along , well you won't see us for dust "

Another belter of a weekend, Penny felt the heat and stayed indoors most of the heatwave, she’s out and exploring now it’s cooled down. Lives to play in the garden and not venture too far, unlike her brother who actually followed us to the pub this afternoon and had to be frogmarched home because the main road is no place for a cat to be crossing! 😮 Naughty boy

Darling little Penny ❤️ Lovely photos of her Fatiguedwithlife. I used to know a couple with a cat and a dog and often pass all four out walking together because the little cat followed one day and that was that. Luckily they didn’t live or walk near any busy roads. The cat would jump over the fence into the allotments and the dog whimpered because he couldn’t follow.

Aah hello not so little any more Penny. It’s been so hot for them hasn’t it. Mine has been swapping between chasing flies and collapsing on the laminate flooring sighing dramatically.

Perhaps Merlin just fancied a cold pint. One of our cats used to follow DS to school. On more than one occasion I had his teacher phone to say could I go and pick her up because she was in the classroom and the kids were paying more attention to the cat than her lessons.

He’s very polite. Just looking back at you with a what the heck do I do about this look! She knows she rules the roost.

That made me chuckle! She knows she rules the roost! I know it is often repeated, but, just compare that picture with the one of the little scrap crouched on the radiator, when you first got her ❤️
(I also hope Salem lies down regardless of Penny, just to show her it's his bed really!)

He’s saying “Please can I just eat her?”
She got up and stalked off when he lay down.
She still wakes me up with fishy kisses and nibbles now but is getting a bit much, it hurts! I tell her off and put her on the floor but she jumps back up purring loudly 🙄

I'd trade the Fishy Kisses for the "gentle" mauling our Female Cat does .
Starts with a paw , then the claws come out .
I have earrings and carilage piercings . So does DD and she also has a nose stud . Neither of us relish being hooked with her claws , FemaleCat doesn't retract her claws , she just pulls
