New tiny kitten

Hello! We have acquired a teeny kitten (supposedly 9 weeks old) but she’s the runt and is very small.
i haven’t weighed her, we only got her today.
We’ve kitten proofed the lounge and are keeping the dog and the other cat away.
She has one snotty eye which I’m cleaning every couple of hours with cooled saline solution
I’ve bought kitten milk and dry and wet food (the same as she was having where she came from).
Shes done a wee and a loose poo in the litter tray and mostly slept. She wasn’t interested in the food or water or saucer of milk so I syringed about 5ml warm kitten milk into her and that woke her up a bit. she then ate a little wet food.

are we doing the right things?

Because you remember her as a syringe-fed baby! She is honestly beautiful.

Oh she is gorgeous When you first got her she'd have been like a teeny gossamer cloud with needle sharp claws'n'teeth.

She's what my DD calls a "Cat-Let" . Looks the part but if you pick her up she's still kitteny .

I hope you haven't given that woman her £20 and I hope she has had the MumCat spayed or the next batch of Penny's will be along and they might not be so lucky ,

Yes, they really do grow up so fast.

Yesterday I took our lovely tortie to the vet for the day. She is 23 and has cancer and needed monitoring tests. I cried my eyes out leaving her because she is our darling one and she hates the vet and needs to be sedated for tests.

Anyway- her results were good and she is in good form considering. But I look at little Penny and feel so happy seeing her pics. One day we will have a little Penny of our own, I know. But for now seeing yours makes me very happy.

Look at her strutting her stuff and stretching out those long legs.
She knows she should be on the catwalk 🐈‍⬛💃🏼😂

Thank you all. She really is a delight, so so friendly and perfect. I’m sorry to hear your tortie was poorly @ProfessorLeveretGreybut what an age she is!! DD2 says she is taking Penny with her when she moves out (we have a while- she’s only 9) but she will have a fight on her hands 😆

I'm a lurker on the Litter Tray, but wanted to say thank you for the weekly updates on Penny (and Merlin). She's growing up so quickly! Looks like Merlin is pretty chilled, just as well - most of the girl cats end up being in charge 🙂

Penny is DESPERATE to play outside so I let her have a sniff about in the garden this morning.

Oh bless her, you know you can get a lead/harness to put on her? We had one for our youngest and soon as she saw you holding it she ran to the back door!
