Penelope loves having her paw held. Although she was making biscuits on my had with rather sharp claws, as I held it. It’s just adorable!

My mum's cat does this to me... he does it when he is feeling sleepy.

Troy used to sleep on my pillow and we'd fall asleep whilst I was holding is paw.

Haribo likes watching me when I'm on the toilet and gives me a high 5. It's more of a "hurry up and feed me" paw gesture.

When Louie is not doing parkour he is very partial to holding hands.

Pud used to press his paw against me sometimes, I was thrilled when he did, but he didn't like it being held, sadly. Have you got a picture of you holding Penelope 's paw Toddler?

Oh @Pudmyboy Marvin is just the same. He uses me to brace himself against but holding the murder mitten is strictly beyond the pale ☹️

Not that I actually want to given strands of my flesh are normally hanging off his claws!

My girl, who is so affectionate in every other respect, will snatch her paw away if I try to hold it. She will do this when she is invading my space, sitting on me, having a long wash. It’s like her butt is good enough for my face but I’m not worthy to hold her paw. 😆

one of ours loves a paw massage, but only when he decides he wants one.

Our sadly no longer here tabby loved to sit with her paw on your hand but if you put your hand over her paw she would give you the most horrified look and swap her paw to the top. if we teased her for long enough by persisting she would use claws to enforce the rules.

Mine puts his paw on my cheek to wake me up every morning, if that counts 🩷

I have cats that hug and that is unbelievably cute. They wrap their paws round my neck and don't let go. It's often accompanied by washing my face or at least head butting.

They also sit on my lap and hold one hand under their paw so that I can't do anything with it and therefore can't really use a phone ... which means the only thing left is to stroke the cat with my free hand. Clever ... and cute.

Ah yes. Mine does that too. Her paw has to be top.
