Hate sound of cat cleaning herself

I really can't stand the sound of my cat cleaning herself and it seems to take her ages. It's got so I try to stop her being in certain rooms with me when I'm trying to relax as it just sets me on edge. Is it just me or does anyone else hate this too?

I have misophonia so I hate this sound, plus eating sounds, plus purring, so I have noise cancelling headphones. I have to put them in and turn on the music loud!

No it’s not just you. It’s rather gross. Love cats though!

My older cat drives me nuts when she does it on the bed. She is older she forgets and totally not her fault but she has very little teeth so she is a drooler too but the sound makes me so annoyed when im trying to sleep or she wakes me up, my other cats I don’t mind cos they are quick but this one takes ages I’m so irritated by it then I feel so bad then she starts again and I’m like aaagghhhhhh!!!!! I do have misophonia tho and this is particularly triggering with her
but I wouldn’t put her out the room or avoid her so please work on that with her as she is not doing anything wrong

I think I'll have to get the noise cancelling headphones! Also hate the eating sounds but quite like the purring. Hate lots of human sounds too btw so probably also have misophonia...

My pampered princess cat chews her feet as part of her cleaning routine. It makes me laugh but I don't care about the sounds and don't have an issue with sounds (smells are my issue!).

I hate it too and when the dog does it 😅🙈

I'm similar with human noises and I can't be in my kitchen when my children play on their trampoline 😅 or if they start making wet noises when their eating

Our old girl was 17yo , I was envious that she could reach !

Our present felines wash themselves , they are so cute when they do That Thing With Their Feet washing their paws with their little toes stretched out .
