I just need some support. I can’t stop crying. She was just a baby. I don’t know what to do. I have to tell my daughters after school. The pain is just unbearable.

Can anyone help? Will this get better?

@UnreasonablyUpset3 we are in exactly the same boat. I’ve had to tell my daughters this evening and they are devastated. Same with the bonded litter mate. Do you think you’ll get another? My daughter wants to see our cats body at the vets to say goodbye.

No I won't be getting another, we do have 2 older cats though. If I had one cat left by itself I'd probably get them a friend. I'd try to get one similar aged though as both of my older boys despised the kitrens unless they grew up a bit

Mine havnt asked to see our cat.... I have pondered letting them now it's an option but I honestly don't know If the cat will of started to get stiff yet and I wouldn't want them to see him like that x

I’m so sorry OP it’s a really horrible thing to go through. A similar thing happened to us nearly a year ago. Our cat was older ( about 11 years) and was knocked down and killed by a driver on our cul-de-sac and just left there. It was heartbreaking being the one who found him. DDs were away at university so didn’t get to see him. They still miss him a lot.
We’ve just got two kittens (6 months) and I’m dreading letting them out, at the moment they only go into our garden but tomorrow they get the snip and I know I can’t keep them in any longer.
