Sex with a kitten in the house

Abhorrentpeople · 04/09/2025 07:32

My kitten is very playful.

My boyfriend stayed at the weekend. Both sessions of morning sex became a threesome with someone burrowing under the quilt, pouncing on moving limbs, using toes as toys etc. Boyfriend was understandably particularly wary.

I shut her out of the bedroom, but she started clawing the carpet up outside trying to get in.

So I shut her downstairs in the kitchen, where she mewed and mewed. Understandable, as she's not used to being shut in the kitchen during the day. We stopped in the end because of it.

What do the rest of you do please?

Don’t have children. Well, obviously you won’t because you can’t ever have sex again now 🤣

My last cat used to stubbornly lie on the quilt come hell or high water!

My Brother in Christ

I wouldn't have had sex with a cat in the bed

Bonden · 04/09/2025 09:07

“Sex with a kitten in the house” is unfortunate phrasing when you mean “sex while there is a kitten in the house”.

The state of literacy today … tut tut

It won't always be like this. Adult cats don't try to join in - they just sit and watch.

Oh this made me laugh so much and so true also.

Esgaroth · 04/09/2025 09:28

Omg just shut the cat out and ignore it. Put on some music to drown out the scratching/mewing if you really can't maintain focus.

I don't understand why anyone would let an animal watch them having sex.

Like was this some kind of extremely heavy lead cat that you couldn't move? How did you take it to the vet? Or were you just asking it politely if it wouldn't mind giving you some privacy?

Tortielady · 04/09/2025 09:33

From a kitten's pov, you are basically a mash-up of a parent and a favourite toy even when you're sitting upright on the sofa. Throw in amusing noises and body parts that wobble and dangle and you're an activity centre. 😁

Cats and kittens thrive in routines, so your best strategy is to get your little puss used to one. There will be times they'll have access to you and (possibly more to the point) your lovely mattress and duvet and times they won't. It doesn't happen overnight and you'll have to block out squeaking, mewing and carpet scratching for a while, but most cats eventually get used to the fact that they aren't living in a free-for-all.

Trovindia · 04/09/2025 09:40

It's a good idea to get cats used to being shut in one room for a short time, it's very useful when you need to quarantine them or keep them in before an operation, or introduce them to another cat.
I would get her used to being shut out of your bedroom at the very least. They need to know a shut door means no access, not pulling the carpet up.

How old is she?

Muffinmam · 04/09/2025 09:46

My cat goes through phases of meowing at me in the very early morning.

For a while I was putting her in the laundry, but it’s gotten really cold and the laundry is freezing.

I swear she can open doors and if she gets in she will put her paws on my face waking me up.

Your only option is to crate her and place her in another room. But don’t leave her in there for too long and don’t leave the crate on the floor as your kitten will feel vulnerable.

Pastaandoranges · 04/09/2025 09:46

Feed her then run upstairs and shut the door and quickly have sex.
Buy a load of cat toys and put on cat tv on youtube then run upstairs and quickly have sex.

Cantbleedingcope · 04/09/2025 10:51

This can’t be real?!

We have a slightly pervy dog who humped mid air next to our bed when we had sex once - massive passion killer - we now shut her outside the bedroom

Orangemintcream · 04/09/2025 12:06

I had a parrot. It talked as well as perching on us.

Very quickly realised we needed to stop having sex in front of it.

Samamfia · 04/09/2025 12:14

Kittens grow up extremely quickly, she won't stay at this stage for very long. Cats in general thrive on routine, so if you're going to shut her in a room, start setting a time now when you do it. Give her a couple of treats and shut the door at the same time every day. We keep our cat downstairs at night (safety reasons) and started this way when she was a kitten. She's perfectly happy with it, comes into the room and meows when it's bedtime, enjoys her treats and curls up on the sofa at the usual time.
Really no need to crate her as long as the room is kitten-proofed. She isn't a dog.
This may mean sex has to happen during kitty bedtime, if you can't think of another way to manage it between the two of you...

mondaytosunday · 04/09/2025 12:25

Just put the kitten downstairs and put some music on. It’s be er been an issue as I can’t hear what goes on in the kitchen from the bedroom. And actually my cats have always been pretty chill.

HornyHornersPinger · 04/09/2025 13:04

Tape a laser-pointer to your BF's arse, your kitten will be fixated trying to catch it on the opposite wall. Problem solved.

She's 15 weeks.

She's used to being shut in the kitchen overnight. She's going to have to learn to be shut in there during the day when people are awake in the house and moving around.

I really don't care if my cat watches me have sex or not. It's a cat. My last cat used to sleep on my bed every night. I have several videos of me excessively wriggling around (alone) and making a wave motion with the quilt, and the cat not moving a muscle. He was in his bed and wasn't going anywhere.

@Pastaandoranges I didn't know cat TV was a thing!

And why do you think this isn't real @Cantbleedingcope ?

Can't help with cats but when our dog was a puppy he was desperate to "join in". Thankfully he's grown out of that stage now.

He does still try and take a deep sniff of my groin afterwards though.

To the tune of “tie a yellow ribbon round the old oak tree”

That's the funniest thread I've read in ages and I needed a good laugh. And the people giving cat friendly serious responses, so funny. Thank you 😊
