We used to have a tonkinese who looked quite like Merlin so I think there may be some oriental in him. Our tonk was an absolutely fabulous cat, so friendly, calm, chatty and funny. Hope you and Merlin have a great time together.

Love Merlin. My niece has a Russian blue female cat. Fully adult but so delicate and small. Beautiful 😍

Merlin is absolutely marvelous 😊.
I’m tempted to say snap… ours looks similar but we ended up with a different name as my DS has merlin for his middle name!

I don't think that is true.

When madam walked in to my life we knocked on doors asking if anyone was missing a cat. We checked for a microchip, nothing. The vet put a poster up.

She also wasn't spayed and was about 12 months old.

Totally in agreement. Our little chap was found 8pm in an empty railway station CP! Starving-ate 5 pouches in his 1st 24hrs with us, & was badly infested with fleas all at only about only 9wks old. Very oddly his rh muzzle whiskers were very crumpled which must have been quite painful to get to that state. Obvs no1 came forward as his owner & was unchipped (defo is now). pic of him just now a whole 2yrs later, waiting for a ‘walk’!

We were going to get a pair of kittens but he is a better fit for us, hopefully less likely to destroy the house and will be able to go outside sooner. We were having a conversation yesterday about school houses and DP said one of theirs was called Merlin. Then today I got a message asking if I was still looking for a new cat, a friend of a friend was looking after one called Merlin. Then when I told DS, he said he had an English lesson today and they were teaching them about Merlin and king Arthur; so that sealed the deal it was obviously meant to be! So strange!

I had similar, when Magic died, the rescue told me about a cat called Penelope. Not exactly a common name. And when I got to
work that night, there was a patient called Penelope!

I’m really sure Merlin will catch up! they seem to have very dense coats,…especially during winter! Very good face burying fur on them 😻.
