How much Applaws kitten dry food to feed alongside dry?

Is anyone familiar with feeding guidelines for Applaws Kitten food? We are feeding our17wo foster kitten (tax attached) a sachet of Applaws Kitten tuna a day and I cannot for the life of me work out how much dry food she is allowed alongside that. Applaws sent me an online leaflet that was really gobbledegook and when I asked for clarification they said to speak to a vet?!? If it’s a ‘complementary’ food can I give her the full ration of biscuits too or should it be less? With previous cats there have been clearer instructions on the cans (Encore) so it’s been easier to work out the relative amounts but there is absolutely no information on the Applaws sachets…

Ive always just given free access to biscuits, and feed wet food twice a day.

We use Applaws biscuits but whiskas pouches (that's what they prefered...) and they get a sachet each in the morning and the evening, but free access to biscuits to graze throughout the day. Never had an issue with them over eating, or weight issues. Generally cats will stop eating when they are full.

We also left dry food out and gave wet food a few times per day. Didn't weigh it

Thank you. My lovely old boys were very much over-eaters though so am wary of being so liberal with the biscuits this time around. I have established that the Applaws sachet is just 1 a day.

Oh and obviously the second ‘dry’ in the heading should read ‘wet’ 🙄

From having a look at the Applaws tuna you mentioned, it sounds like that is more of a 'treat' meal rather than am actual meal, so I would go with the full amount of dry food, and maybe give the tuna tins every second day if you are worried about weight gain?

But generally kittens cant really over eat, they need a lot more than you would think for all the zoomies energy they need!!

Thank you, that’s helpful - will up the biscuits!

Free rein on biscuit rations here - the dry food is complete. They get the wet food asa “treat” each evening as it isn’t complete.

Kittens are a very different creature than adults, and I'm not sure if it's possible to over feed them!

At 17 weeks they are still in the "zoomies, eat, zoomies, sleep, zoomies" mode and are growing at the same time so they need loads more energy than an older adult cat.
