Where is the most awkward or inconvenient place your cat sleeps?

writing in this in bed unable to stretch out as foot of the bed is now a designated cat zone. Last week it was in between the pillows.

My older cat sleeps on whichever bed has the most recently laundered covers. Different spots all over the duvet for every nap until it’s entirely covered with a film of fluff, then each pillow.

I have often put fleece throws over the beds to protect them but the fluff sticks to fleece more than it sticks to the cotton bedding. Lint rollers work hard here!

We find our two in a variety of places. Current favourites are the shower cubicle for our boy and inside the tunnel cat flap for the girl which prevents her brother going in or out!

On top of our boiler , doesn’t matter if it’s on or off . I get it’s the highest point in the kitchen , and wasn’t too bad when he was a kitten .
Now he doesn’t really fit , so it’s a gamble as to which cat part will be drifting off the edge while he slumbers .
Please don’t tell me I shouldn’t let him sleep there , I have no control over his madness .

Stretched out across my super king size bed claiming there isn’t enough room for me as well
or in a doorway

In the doorway between the kitchen and outside. Stretches out the whole way and my dog can’t get by and stands there barking at him. Same on the stairs. The cat just looks at the dog and taunts her.

Just thought of another two.

If I go to the loo in the night she will be in my bed on the warm bit I have just left.

The other place that is inconvenient for others, but not me is, the middle of the road. Fortunately I live on a quiet cul-de-sac.

Our cat used to love sleeping on the stairs, about half way up the first set of stairs. Unfortunately I was walking down the stairs carrying a washing basket, did not see the cat, felt his warm fur as I was about to step down, tried to step over him, fell, landed on my bottom and thought I had broken my coccyx. Luckily he has changed his sleeping place now.

In perfect timing mine has just moved outside to lie right outside the apartment door, belly up
perfectly positioned to pester people for belly rubs

One of mine wanted to sleep like a scarf across my neck in the ridiculous heat last week, I suffered through, couldn’t cause the little princess any upset

I think our cat is broken as he generally sleeps in a fluffy pet bed - our previous girl cat was exactly the same! He does like to drape himself out over the sides of it, so he actually has a dog bed (but still prefers to hang out over it).

Orange pest, and much missed little white lady attached.

I don't even have a cat but my neighbour's cat likes to come in and sleep on my laptop keyboard. But only if I'm using it.

Top of the stairs ( again only at night). In the bath with his nose in the plughole. Weird creature.

Another for the stairs. deaf, so does not hear you coming but would not move anyway! means you have to step up two steps at a time, or down you have to try to fit your foot in at the end of the step!

on my back (I sleep on my front). Horrible in this heat!

Right now, on top of a load of grot by the back door just because there’s a sunbeam there. 😬

Meet chester. He likes to sleep in the sink when it's hot. Horizontally across the bed, which also means I also sleep that way, don't want to disturb him 😂. I have a bucket under my fish tank, that was his favourite spot for a while too
