Low Fat Dry Food - any recommendations?

My cat has been put on a low fat diet by the vet, but she will not eat the two options suggested by the vet (Purina HA & Purina EN) She is also quite fussy and will only eat dry food. Has anyone had any success with a low fat dry food diet?

I will be discussing with the vet tomorrow but it would be good to know if anyone has good results with a particular type of food, in case he suggests that as an option.

She previously ate Orijen and Eden kibbles, and liked both.

Our cat likes the James Well Beloved Light dry food.

We did use the Hills stuff with our last cat and he loved it and ate huge quantiites while slowly losing weight.

Mine are very much liking the Royal Canin Lightweight Care, and Tobias does seem to be losing weight on it (slowly).

Is it just a low fat cat food you have been advised to look for?

Purina HA and EN are advertised not so much low fat as avoiding food allergy by having hydrolysed protein.

If your cat's issue is not being overweight, then you don't want us suggesting weight loss foods for example.

Thanks all. She is not overweight but needs a low fat diet to manage a medical condition. I will check out the recommmedations with the vet.
