How do I encourage my cat to drink in this heat

My cat never seems to drink. He is out and about all day in the heat and seems fine but I feel thirsty on his behalf 😅I fill his water fresh and try to keep it cool, I turn on the tap to encourage him drinking from the tap in the kitchen sink. I have tried water fountains but he cannot be asked with them. Any ideas or do I need to chill and he probably drinks in secret?

I'm sure i read that they get 85% of their liquid from wet food. Or something like that.

Mine likes to try and get his other 15% from the toilet bowl, but we discourage that.

Mine prefer a muddy puddle or rainwater. The lovely filter water and silent opperating fountain is usually ignored.

Or the dirtiest puddle they can find.

Of the several cats I have had, not one has ever drunk water. I have never seen any of them drink outside either. I marvel at Insta cats drinking from taps, glassess, toilet bowls. Never seen it.

I've always got a little dish in the garden for the birds and hedgehogs, maybe Arthur drinks that, no idea!

We make balls of ice - a drink and a toy in one. My cats love chasing the ball round while giving it a good lick.

Mine like to drink the dregs of milk left in the cornflakes bowl. Not milk by itself and all cornflakes must ideally be fished out and eaten by hooman, just leaving what I assume must be cornflake flavoured milk.
