Kloppy has briefly chased a pigeon for ten seconds so has had to lie down to recuperate 😿

His Royal FuzzyEarsness arose at 6pm after a strenuous day guarding the house for a couple of hours when we went out, stayed up (mostly with his eyes closed on the stairs) for at least 83 minutes before returning and collapsing onto the sofa with a thud. A few seconds later, the smell of doom drifted over from his bathroom (yep, he has sole use of one bathroom).

After I'd removed the offensive matter, which he of course bravely supervised from the OPEN door where he could have gone out to do it instead of retiring to his suite, he went to sleep to recover from the effort of producing it.

He has been splodged out ever since.

Such a hard day over here! They spent a good 20 minutes between them winding up our Dear dog. Tag teaming.

Bella is so tired she couldn’t even make it in her igloo and clumped on top of it. Or it’s good for sunbathing out the utility room window

This morning, he has nobly supervised the unboxing ritual of some hideously expensive feline cuisine, a selection of assorted amuse bouche, aperitífs and hors d'œuvre, toileting accoutrements, tested some to ensure that they meet with his approval, insisted that his silver faux fur blanket (not his blanket but he's been attached to it since he was a kitten) is taken from the dryer, folded three times and placed in his 3rd bed in the bay window - and then flumped out on the sofa.

In other words, DP has been cheaping out and giving him Felix for the first time in his life since the Ancient Fluffy One departed, his coat's been getting quite dry and coarse and I got paid first this month. So he's getting mostly Applaws until the Animonda Carny and Origen is delivered.

Later on he was so tired that he didn’t even have time to lie down.

Truly beautiful. I’m no cat expert so can you tell me what breed he is please?

IJWMM · 01/06/2025 23:18

@Slatterndisgrace - he’s a Maine Coon, just turned 15 months old. He is a big lump of friendly, chirruping, cuddly fur! Also known as Chatty McChatFace as he chirrups away whatever he’s doing 😻

willowbuffytara · 02/06/2025 00:14

Ready for bed, and by that he means taking over my bed

Thanks. Ha ha, sounds like a happy cat! I edited my last post because I put ‘look at that gorgeous tail’ and then realised it was a cushion or a throw! 🫣

What a beauty! I love black cats. I have one too but she's been missing for 2.5 weeks Sad Spotted in a neighbour's garden so we're pretty sure she's been hiding out there in an overgrown bit. She's not been happy with us since we moved house.

Do you ever go out and leave your cats? I was led to believe Kloppy was out hunting and exploring all day however my parents stayed recently and confirmed he just snoozed on his favourite chair pretty much all day!

During lockdown I think our cats heard the PMs instruction and only left DDs bed for essentials (food, and possibly 1 outdoor trip to the toilet per day)....for months! 🤣
