Reuse wool cool packing in litter tray for remarkable results

you probably have received frozen food packaged in wool packaging - my KatKin deliveries use it but other food/frozen deliveries use it.

I was scratching my head as to how to reuse the wool packaging & not just bin it and one day I decided to use the wool as lining for the cats litter tray.

Its incredible - the litter tray no longer smells. at all.
Wool is a fantastic deoderiser so it makes sense - sharing in case anyone else fancies trying it!

Thanks for the tip. Do you use it beneath normal litter? Is that what you mean by lining? I’d be worried that pooey bits of wool would stick to my cat’s fur and get traipsed around the house.

To avoid the wool packaging going into the black bin I rip it up and poke bits of it into my garden hedge and the hedgerows around my local area. Great nesting material for birds to find!

i use it in the bottom of the tray & put the litter on top.

yes I have it all around the garden & in compost too. It’s lovely to repurpose

I don't have a cat, but my dog's food comes wrapped in wool packaging. Like PP, we stick it around the garden for birds to use in their nests and to line tubs/planters/hanging baskets. Also makes great slug deterrent if you rolls it out around your plants in the beds.

I’ve used mine around the garden and birds took big chunks of it
