Feel so sad and guilty for making the decision to PTS. Adopted her as a rescue when she was about one, she’d had kittens that were all adopted but noone wanted her. So we had her and she lived with us for 15 years, a very petite, fluffy and feisty little fur ball. last 4 months she suddenly started losing weight, losing fur, eventually not using litter tray and generally not well. Multiple trips to vet, we tried several medications, blood tests, special food, Feliway diffuser, you name it.
Finally today we had to have that dreaded discussion with the vet, that now was time to let her go before things got even worse for her. He thought she had heart failure and possibly a tumour as well.
So so sad leaving the vets with empty cat basket and floods of tears.
RIP Mitzi Moo xx

Please don’t feel guilty. You clearly loved her and have done the right thing - it’s the price we pay for having such wonderful creatures in our lives. Flowers

Having her pts is an act of love. Don't get me wrong is is very very difficult. My beautiful cat was pts and it broke my heart but I knew it was the kindest thing for her. I would hug you if I could.

It’s so hard to say goodbye to a loved pet. When they really don’t behave like their usual selves and especially a cat, they aren’t happy. You made the best decision for her, but the most difficult one for you. I think you did the right thing. Flowers

Thank you all. She was just such a character and I miss her already x

Sending you hugs. Having a beloved pet put to sleep is heartbreaking and one of the hardest things you have to do, but it is a brave and kind act of love, and the final gift you can give them to let them go with dignity. Your cat was lucky to have you Flowers

Hugs to you. You gave Mitzi Moo 15 wonderful years of love and care. Be gentle with yourself x

No one wanted her - but you did. Lucky little kitty to have someone who loved and appreciated her so much. 😍

And I know it hurts so much now, but I am always glad to read of an owner who took the responsible decision in the cat's best interest.

You gave her a much better life than she might have had, and though I know you'll miss her, you'll have lots of happy memories too of a cat life well lived. 🤗

Your little pusscat landed on all four of her pretty paws when she found you. It takes a lot of TLC to get a cat to a good age, especially after such an unpromising start. She had a terrific life with you and she knew she was loved. Go well, sweet one 🌻

Sending hugs. You did the kindest thing.

It’s heartbreaking but the kindest act we can do. I had to have my boy pts last year and his sister the year previous. I still miss them but it was time.

RIP Mitzi Moo

sending 🤗
