Uneutered on heat kitten obsessed with my son

Our 7 month old kitten is booked in to be spayed in 3 weeks time. She doesn't go out and our male cat is neutered so nothing can happen- we've just got to wait for her to habe her operation
She has been in season once 2 weeks ago and is back in season again.
The weird thing is the only one she obsesses about is my 13 year old son! She follows him round sticking her bottom up at him all the time. She sits outside hus bedroom door calling for him. He doesn't normally have much to do with her and neither her with him but both times she is obsessed! Just wondered if anyone had had this happen before? Hoping we've only got one more time before she has her op as it's not nice to watch is it?

My female cat was like this when she was in heat just before her spay…..she was obsessed with my exH.
She’d follow him around everywhere, rubbing her bum against his legs making the calling noise.
She couldn’t have cared less about me at that point 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 I guess it’s to do with pheromones? She can smell the male on your DS. From when I watched secret life of cats, they came to the conclusion that cats don’t actually realise we are a different species to them in the way dogs do….they just see us as really big, completely incompetent cats 😂

My girl cat is spayed but she still does this to DH anyway 😂
