4 yr old neutered male cat ‘humping’ our legs

My 4 yr old neutered male cat has recently started ‘humping’ our legs when we’re lying down.

He’s never done this before and I’ve no idea why he’s started, no new sources of stress. We have a neutered slightly older cat, he play fights with her but hasn’t been showing any other interest in her.

anyone got any ideas what we should do?

I had a cat who used to shag my arm. He was neutered and there was no ejaculate so I just let him get on with it. Why spoil his fun?

It probably just feels good or gets him attention - I would push him off gently and ignore.

Thanks we’re mostly ignoring him, occasionally moving him away.
