Anyone else's cat got really vocal since the weather improved?

Penelope is suddenly very vocal again. Shouting at me, no Idea what she wants. It could be that her ears are feeling better though. Or she hates the cold weather.

Mine has got increasingly chatty as she has got older, but I haven't noticed a correlation with the weather. I find it very endearing.

My little tabby was singing around the garden today with a spring in her step! Definitely becoming more vocal with the weather ☺️

My girl thanked me twice when I gave her lunch. At least that’s my interpretation of the sound she makes as I’m carrying over her dish. 😬

My cat opens his mouth to talk but no sound comes out - or occasionally, the tiniest squeak. The vet said it's because he's got FIV

Toddlerteaplease · 08/03/2025 17:52

@WatchingTheClowns my late girl did that. It then turned into quacking. When I got a new cat who was very vocal, she soon found her voice!

Rosie literally follows me around from the moment I get home. Shouting 'MUM MUM MUM MUM' until I sit down. It's exhausting 😫

It's the start of kitten season! Spring is now in the air and their hormones are kicking in. My dog gets a spring in her step every year at this time. It's very subtle but wonderful to observe all the same Smile

The season of murder started yesterday in our house. The demands for staff to facilitate exits from the building and the ceremonial laying of the vermin bodies on the doorstep. We live in the country we all have wood piles and there are fields around us so the vermin are many.

Yes in the mornings! As it gets lighter earlier, my cat seems to think she should be getting her breakfast earlier 🤷‍♀️ 4am meowing at the moment and it’ll only get earlier as we get into summer!

This has happened here too. We have an indoor 5 year old boy but he's suddenly very unhappy and very vocal about going outside. I don't know what to do for the best. We live on a busy road but he is distressed about being indoors. It's never been this bad before.

Yes my cat loves the spring and starts zoomies and sudden leaps from the back of the sofa onto my chest at this time of year. Crazy little things.
