Very smelly cat poo, gas, general scent

We have a 2 year old cat who is having monthly treatment for fleas and was given a clean bill of health by the vet's a couple of months ago. The vet wasn't concerned about the smell and gas when asked.

She's been eating dry biscuits only for thr past 3+ months (Hills chicken allergy as I wondered if she has a sensitive stomach) hardly any treats (a stick once a month, a single treat biscuit every few days) and has plenty of water.

We adopted the cat about 6 months ago and she's been like this from the start. I've no experience with cats but is this normal? I'm using litter brands that promise to keep smells down but the whole place stinks after she uses the litter. She won't go in the garden for number 2 sadly, perhaps because we get visits by neighbourhood cats.

I would post the obligatory cat tax but I don't wish to embarrass her 😸
She's a black and white British domestic shorthair as far as I know... mentioning as I hear some breeds are prone to sensitivities etc. Thank you!

I have two cats - one of which the smell of her poos can clear the house. The other I had a slight odor but not much.

The difference my smelly cat is on a mostly tinned food diet and the other one is on balanced raw.

Had a very smelly cat. And she never buried it. The smell massively improved when I changed her to Amazon lifelong dry food.

Did you go from wet to Amazon dry? Hills is supposed to be a decent brand 😮‍💨

Have you ever had a period where the smelly one didn't smell? Would she not eat raw like the other one?

one of my cats was super smelly and it was awful, I changed her food to untamed wet and it’s been a game changer, no smelly trumps, can not tell when she’s used the litter tray anymore and her general odour is lovely! Try changing food.

No she went from Iams dry to Amazon dry. She wouldn't eat wet food. She had a very sensitive tummy. I think she was intolerant to grain. She was a very sucky cat and it stopped when on grain free food.

My girl is on a raw diet and has no smell poos. Her fur is plush and she smells heavenly.

Thank you everyone I will look into changing her diet.
