He probably pulled the tree over himself (or Mrs. Grumpy did) and waited for whichever cat arrived first at the scene, to take a picture.

Cat Four has returned safe and sound. I took the collar off because she was utterly distressed by it. As soon as I took it off, she calmed right down and ate a barrel of food. She was licking herself so we gave her a wipe down and she stopped. She has spent the time since either in my lap or around my neck and cries pitifully if I leave her. She of course has been jumping and playing.
Perhaps vets tell you not to let them so you can’t sue them.
This is her channeling the sister’s bonnets.

One of mine took her cone off three times on the way back from the vet. She was fine.
