Las Vegas Cash GIF by DYD Sports & Betting Brand

And while the cats are thus engaged, their human slaves are still finishing the turkey and Christmas pud, and idly placing bets on whether or not Kitty will use her new cat tree.

Maybe he’s hoping she’ll protect him from Gizmo.

Vixen sounds very much able to take care of herself.

@Esgaroth my two have totally different coats despite both being short haired. Snowcat has such dense and fluffy fur that it is really hard applying flea treatment as you just can’t find the cat under the fur. Stripeycat has much slicker almost glossy fur which parts easily and is only half the length of Snowcat’s - I imagine her being like a little otter.

If you let her out in the snow she'll disappear! Has she got fluffy toes too?

RumNotRun · 26/01/2025 19:42

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne She loves to groom her favourite cats (namely Toad) so if Picard will hold still and let her lick him then she will be happy. She can be a bit vicious though and bite ears if her victim moves too soon. She is a very affectionate cat to cats and humans alike, unless you annoy her and then she is a scary little monster.

EmpressaurusKitty · 26/01/2025 20:20

Kitty would like to show her toes off too.

As the mother of God only knows how many kittens, she says she knows all about having to hold cats down to be groomed.

As we don't have a definite bride for Gizmo, the hen night can transmogrify into a spa weekend.

Cleo wants to know if the other lady cats are up for this? Suzy is still trying to divorce Linney ATM.

Edited

Sorry Cleo but The Stray says a spa weekend sounds like efffffffort.

To be fair though she has spent most of the afternoon playing Boo! from behind the pantry curtain with (at) me while I've been cleaning.

Manicures: scratching big ancient trees.

Massage: rolling on rough grass or rubbing against said trees.

Exercise: tree climbing or lizard & mouse chasing.

Relaxation: dozing in front of a log fire.

I checked this evening and she has fluffy back toes but much less fluffy front ones!

Of course he is. He doesn’t want to miss the plane.

coastergirl · 27/01/2025 14:04

Look at those ears. He's been in a few scraps in his time!

It's holding cats down to apply Bravecto which causes problems in the Broon household.

One day I'll manage to get a decent picture of Tobias's ears with the light behind them. They a just a mass of tiny nicks all along the edges poor lamb 😥

Pianoaholic · 27/01/2025 18:09

Yes, we had to treat Herbie with his Bravecto the other day. For once we seemed to pick a good time when he was deeply asleep on the sofa. Normally it involves a rugby tackle in a confined space whilst wearing gardening gloves.

Then he was slurping all night on our bed trying in vain to lick it off!

This reminds me..... many years ago staying with my DB heard a commotion happening in downstairs loo, cat shot out closely followed by DB wearing a mask, he'd been using flea powder. Thank goodness for injection/on the neck these days 🐯

He must be called Heathcliff @Grumpyoldpersonwithcats

Yes, I remember my cat Misty from childhood having to wear flea collars and having flea powder. Don't know that it worked all that well as he did occasionally get fleas!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 27/01/2025 19:21

Well, DD2 and I approached Gizmo this afternoon and he let her stroke him, so we decided it was worth a go.
Amazingly, he stayed still for her, while I applied the hated Bravecto.

Gizmo then shot off the bed in a rage, but we'd done it by then.

And no wounds or missing limbs occurred. To us (or him).
🤣

Bloody hell @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne I am impressed!

I have just seen a thread in Litter Tray where someone has tried to take photos of her cats. The photos are great but even better are the two gorgeous grey cats, like chubby Finlays, or Cedric.
