Thanks for the lovely welcome. I had 6 as a kid so its my normal 🤣

So we have Marshall and Luna (big blue boy and white and grey short haired girl) siblings who are 9.
Tabby is the grey Siamese mix with massive ears that was my little boys 5th birthday present and doesn't leave his side ❤️😭 Gatsby isn't in the photos he is Tabby's half sibling who got let down 3 times and breeder asked if we would take him (he's half Nebelung so think a bit grey fluffy) They are both 1
Callie is our torti BLH diva and Honey is our Perdoll dope- they are very bonded and 9 months old.
Finally Klaus- a mink ragdoll and Honey's half sibling.

We set out for 3 cats and ended with 7. My 5 year old has gone up reading levels as he reads to them in bed, emotionally regulates better because when he's sad they come and cuddle him and builds his confidence as Gatsby walks alongside us to school. All in all we are very happy (I just try not to think of the cost 🤣🤣)

Yup! At one point I had nine but I am down to a more sensible number now 😁

Somebody is making a lot of biscuits tonight. His little piston arms are going like the clappers. I think he's making enough for all the cats and their "owners" on here, ready for NYE.

I mean 9 seems ideal 🤣 yeh Luna sometimes is a moody girl with the others but she's been a grouch forever so no suprise. The others all adore each other. Proper little cat tribe. We did have 7 before we had Klaus with the most beautiful cinnamon BLH Rusty but sadly he died unexpectedly from seizures at 9 months 😭😭.

Welcome HomelyK. Moggies for me. 1 ex-feral girl who rules the house with an iron paw in the softest silky velvet glove, and one ex-stray boy who after coming up for 2 years here is still scared & very un-trustful (though improving daily).

Indoor only - I ignore the occasional rant on here from people who feel it's cruel to keep cats in and deny them the joys of being run over, poisoned by anti freeze, or tortured by teenaged boys - though I would love it if my back garden could accommodate a catio (it can't sadly)

Aww they are beautiful! Our two oldest are rescues! I would have rescued more but according to many charities we don't provide the right environment as we have two young children !?!

Its a real debate about indoor/outdoor on here that I've never seen! All ours go out apart from our Perdoll and ragdoll as frankly they are just too dim! But luckily apart from Luna they only go as far as our neighbours gardens and our cul de sac and mainly stay in doors as lazy!

Hi @HomelyK. I would love 7 cats!! Sadly, it took lots of persuasion from DS and me to persuade DH to even get 1 cat, 7 years or so since we lost our other cat(it was traumatic though).
So I have a 3yr old black and white rescue cat, Herbie, have been lurking for ages on here. But joined the previous thread and love to see what all the cats get up to. Herbie is here with his best toy, a shoelace.

Mine are all moggies, although Lexter did go through a sphinx cat stage a few years ago. I have three black cats - Raven (chunky and grumpy), Toad (affectionate nutcase who is loved by all the others, whether they want to or not), and Frankenstein (tiny boy who is slowly learning to like me). There's also Vixen, a torbie who loves people and nearly always has her tongue out, Ghostie the three legged dilute tortie, Lexter who was a beautiful tabby as a kitten then lost his fur and looked like a sphinx, loved wearing his plaid shirts (in the photo) and has now grown most of his fur back, and of course Frederick, my first ever white cat, scared of any visitors but a big affectionate marshmallow with me.

Our 2 are Mama Pollock (now 4) and her kitten Mini Pollock (now nearly 3). Mama was rescued pregnant and had 2 kittens (only Mini survived 😪) so we offered to take both (whilst kitten was still nursing) and the Rescue said yes!
Both go outside but don't roam far, mostly lurk in ours or our neighbours' gardens and we keep them in at night...Black cats!

I'm very sad that HomelyK has refused to answer the adoption question. I really, really wanted to lose my hands in those 7 fluffy fur coats.

My original soul mate was a rescue tabby, right now I'm fighting against a losing battle with yet another starving stray, so another moggie rather than purebred.

Grumpy - try turning the heating on earlier so they stop trying to steal your body/warmth. I believe the next stage is stealing your breath 😬

Rum - I didn't realise Lexter lost all of his fur, he (and you) have done remarkably well to regain most of it. And please pass on my thanks for all those yummy biscuits from him.

I haven't noticed @Pixiedust1234 trying to break into my house yet. You do have to qualify to be a deportee you know 🤣
