Bengal cat only wants human food!

As the title, our Bengal, now 13, is very meh about her cat food these days (raw meat designed for a cats diet bought at vast expense from the local fancy pet shop).

All she wants is our food, and she’ll wolf down plates of chicken or fish, but I know that’s not sustainable because they need other minerals etc that aren’t provided with just a bit of chicken.

We’ve tried everything - different brands of raw cat food, covering her cat food in a little tuna, covering it with those lickee lick things but she’s not fooled.

What can we do now? She’s getting a bit skinny and I was wondering if we can feed her ordinary chicken, fish etc with some sort of supplement.

She’s not ill though…just fussy!

My sibling has a bengal.

They buy their own meat and mix it for the cat.

Have you tried brands like Untamed or Lily’s Kitchen Shreds in broth? They use human grade meat/ fish so may be palatable to a cat who likes chicken breast and fish but they are complete so have vitamins and minerals added.

Have you tried Katkin? Human grade meat, cooked and frozen. They had a wobble in recent months where they tried to change the recipe but have now returned to the original recipes. Katkin is my cat's favourite food, but he likes a bit of variety so also give him Meowing Heads and Encore a few times a month.

The one we use is Purrform, I just checked and their website doesn’t say that they use human grade meat, so perhaps that’s what we need to look for. I’ll take a look at those suggestions, thanks!

try Untamed, it looks like real shreds of chicken they do a trial box for £8. My kittens wolfed it down. I usually buy lilys kitchen but they only like the pate.
