An hour of sole access to the leftover turkey.

Mine loves if you bring him so grass inside. He likes to push it under the fridge. Shout you to get it out then repeat haha

Massive cat tree. We've had ours for about 4 years & they still love it. Position by a window for maximum enjoyment; both cats can open the shutters themselves now.

Over the years I have spent what must add up to thousands on Christmas presents for my now ten year old cat.
Her favourite toy is the plastic zip tie she saw on her second day with us.
Her second favourite is the cardboard box her cat bed came in.

It's an Ancol Cat slow feeder/enrichment tower. Really gives her brain a workout!! She has spent ages playing with it this week

A dog!

We got ours one of these three years ago and both have rejected it in favour of the crate it came in, which is now their castle (and anyone who enters will be slain)

pinneddownbytabbies · 30/11/2024 09:36

Just as an aside... why don't they make ordinary cat food out of the same stuff they use to make Dreamies and LickeLix?

TamzinGrey · 30/11/2024 17:08

Our Dcat has loads of toys, some very expensive. A couple of days ago DH crunched a piece of paper up into a ball and threw it onto the floor for her. She's now obsessed with it. Charges around the room like a premier league football player. It's become her favourite toy.
Went to visit my DSis today and DH scrunched a bit of paper for her Dcat to play with. DSis's cat also went mad for the scrunched up paper ball and is still battling it around.
Forget expensive presents - just give them a bit of scrunched up paper.

Catnip.

shellyleppard · 30/11/2024 17:12

My lot would be soooo happy with cat nip, a large cardboard box snd a paper bag inside....kitty heaven

Minesril · 01/12/2024 05:39

We've bought ours a puzzle feeder thing (which I suspect will be ignored) a pack of four catnip fish and a pack of hat feathers in an attempt to stop him bringing in pigeon feathers from outside (once he bought in four - or was it five? - in one day).

iridescentsnowflake · 01/12/2024 07:18

Ours would say anything food related, although for some reason he isn’t keen on Dreamies.

He’s only three but hasn’t shown much interest in cat toys since he was a kitten; we buy them occasionally but he turns his nose up at them - even the plastic springs I thought he’d love - preferring to play with objects that aren’t meant for him, with straws being a favourite.

Other gifts that have been rejected: cosy cat beds and boxes and a radiator bed. He sleeps in all kinds of places, but never on anything bought for him!

So we stick to treats that we know he’ll enjoy!

It was our Siamese grandkittens birthday this week and one of the things I got was a cat curl , bad picture attached . Apparently they’ve played with it everyday .
