My cat was pts a good while ago how to get over it

My much much loved cat was pts over 5 years ago. We do now have a much loved cat in the house, she is adorable I love her very much. But Im still missing my first cat. She was the most amazing cat. I cant put into words how much I miss her. How do you move on? I want to talk about her without crying. I feel like part of me died with her and I'll never get it back.

Have you spoken to a pet bereavement therapist about this? I believe the RSPCA can point you in the right direction. I still miss my cat who has been gone for 40 years now.
