I adopted a cat from Cats Protection just over a week ago....he is a big solid male tabby...he has been neutered....he is always crying for food....I am currently giving him 3 pouches a day plus there is a bowl of dry food at all times...Is this enough...is there anything more filling i could give him...thank you.

Look for something high protein or it won't fill him up and you're going to end up needing to feed 4 or 5 pouches. I used to feed felix and now do katkin and feed less than half the amount. It is still more expensive but not by too much, and that's because felix/whiskas is not good food.

This is a good place to start, pets at home stock a few of the top scorers.

Our kittens are currently on Lily's kitchen, wet and dry. I couldn’t find a brand that was high in protein and no sugar that wasn’t a delivery subscription until I came across lily’s kitchen. It seems to be ok at the moment but as soon as I bulk buy they’ll go off it 😂 it was £13.99 for the dry and £9 for the wet multi pack so not astronomical!
