Handhold needed - waiting for vet to call

I took my 10 year old cat to the vet this morning as she stopped eating and drinking over the weekend and has been really lethargic. The vet felt something in her stomach so she’s in for an ultrasound, blood tests and fluids. I’m waiting for a call and feel sick. Trying to keep busy and distracted but it’s not really working. Keeping everything crossed that she’s going to be ok.

Crossing fingers with you.
It's a worrying time.

Hope you get a good news call soon.

Fingers crossed here too.

Thank you @TheSpottedZebra and @EmpressaurusKitty - just had the call and she has pancreatitis. Hopefully it can be resolved with painkillers and antibiotics. They just need to give her some more fluids and get her to eat something before I can bring her home. Very relieved 😊

Poor her and poor you, that sounds painful.
Hopefully she's home soon and on the mend.

My late girl had pancreatitis. Her survival was miraculous. But she made a full recovery very quickly, and never had it again .

She came home with a feeding tube. But didn't need it for long.

@Toddlerteaplease - thank you. Hopefully this will be a one off thing for my cat too. The vet just called again to say they’ve managed to get her to eat which is a really good sign. I’m picking her up a bit later 😀
