Has anyone successfully trained an older cat to wear a harness?

We rescued our 9 year old cat at the start of July but haven’t let her out & whilst she doesn’t try to run outside she does show a bit of interest if we open the door.
we don’t want to let her out out but would like to try a harness. She doesn’t even wear a collar at the moment so is a harness totally unrealistic 🤣

Yes, but he would only wear one like this. This pic has the original lead with it but I did switch it an extendable one so he could wonder a bit further. However the extendable lead wasn't great when Felix spotted a bird about half a mile away and proceeded to chase after it by jumping over everyone's front garden walls and fences with me having to follow suit 😂 one rule I had though. Was that any time he was in his harness he wasn't allowed to walk out the door. I carried him out. That way then if the door was open he wouldn't try and charge out. Once outside he could decide where we were going to go.

Interesting, that definitely looks comfier than the thin ones we’ve seen in pets at home. Good tip about carrying him out, we’ve never actually been able to pick her up so that’ll be fun to try 🤣
think we’ll get one & give it a go, thank you 😻
