Male cat, 15 months old. Not lethargic but not as active as usual either.

Yesterday he made a donut out of a beanbag and weed in it. Very unusual as he always uses the litter tray or goes outside. When I cleaned it up there were bloody clots in the wee.

Took him to the vet who said his baldder was small so couldn't get any urine out of him, gave him some anti inflammatory, could not feel a blockage, so expected uti, but if not did discuss more sinister things.

She gave me a litter pack to take a urine sample with. Of course he weed in his basket on the way home (about 12 hours ago).

He has since had his kibble in a bowl of water. All gone. But he isn't drinking from his water bowl. And he hasn't done a wee yet. How worried should I be?

Cats can hang on for ages. I took my cat to the emergency vet a couple of weeks ago, as she didn't see for 48 hours. But if he's not weed in the morning I'd take him back because of the risk of blockage. Is he on pain killers?

Thank you. She gave him an anti inflammatory like metacam.

Treat him to some cat milk so he has to wee?
I hope he's better soon.

If he doesn't wee soon then he needs to go back in as an emergency case.

He now has antibiotics so will hopefully perk uo soon.
