I'm talking about Picard here. Picard can jump easily.

Gizmo cannot jump up to the window ledge from the garden. We don't know why. He can barely jump on to the table.

All the other cats jump up without difficulty.

Edited

Oh poor Gizmo! Has he seen the vet yet about this? Hopefully it is a sprain/soft tissue issue.....but you have seen him and have good reason to suspect arthritis, if I remember correctly?

He's had Solensia.
I'll take him back if it doesn't improve.

Mr SB and I were just saying that Gizmo doesn't jump over the gate, either (which all the other cats do) - he squeezes through a little gap to get out.

Heroic.

I just went upstairs to change my bed. The cats had other plans. Socks is asleep on a pillow and Matt is stretched out at the bottom of the bed.
I took two pillow cases off and left everything else in place till later so as not to disturb the sleeping beauties.

Here are mine auditioning for the remake of The Lion King (Home Edition). The part of Pride Rock is performed by the long-suffering, formerly cream recliner. The jungle is represented by the finest Kentish brambles. Not sure what the panda has to do with it but you know, it was there.

I may have mentioned before that Lenny is a bit of a scruff 😁.

Good grief, he looks as though he's been dragged through a hedge backwards (or annie's brambles) 🙀

Anniegetyourgun · 07/07/2024 16:54

Are you sure he isn't part sheep, Grumpy?

Anything is possible.
Compare his much more elegant brother.

Definitely could be a touch of Zwartbles in Lenny's genes methinks.

Ooh, I want one of those. Do they eat brambles?

A little possum, as my buddy calls him, wants to say hi to everyone. He thinks he's looking particularly handsome today although I think he looks a bit dopey.

Benny just brought in a mouse. It's my fault. I said the hedgehog couldn't possibly have been either of the cats because they aren't hunters. Benny obviously heard and decided to prove me wrong.

I'm 68 today!
My life seems to have whizzed by.

Belated birthday wishes, Shell. I've been enjoying Gizmo's adventures in Scotland. What an amazing outcome.

LostCats · 08/07/2024 07:10

Ahh Lexter. He’s so wonderful ❤️❤️❤️

Mumsgirls · 08/07/2024 20:03

Glad Gizmo/ TC went to a Mumsnetter, so we can still hear about his antics.
Very good of you Shell. My last old boy was an alpha mail puss. Touch at your own risk. Would tempt you with his belly, then grab you and rabbit kick if you dared stroke the belly. Latest loves a belly rub

TheShellBeach · 09/07/2024 14:01

Well, the cheek of it.

Gizmo hisses and growls at Picard whenever Picard tries to get in via the window.

Poor old Picard. I do love him. He still just walks in the front door though.

Fred now sleeps on the corner of my bed every night. He's very loving and purry but is a danger to any feet that may escape from the duvet!

Meanwhile in the garden, Linney relaxes on the bin and Picard relaxes on the storage container
