When he came in to be fed, he and Linney butted heads.

I do like his new title of Mr. Gizmo. It shows a formality worthy of his station 🤣.
Lovely that him and Linney sound to be getting on so well.

I haven't seen Downton so maybe missing the point but surely Grumpy was more of a "your name is not down so you're not coming in" bouncer to Mr Gizmo than a footman/butler type?

We could have a reciprocal cat sitting service on the Litter Tray, although I think those of you in more picturesque locations may have more offers than those of us in the deepest darkest depths of city ghettos 😉

Well, DS only lives round the corner now, so it's not like previous years.

In the past we've always persuaded one of the DC to come and cat sit when we go away.

We thought this year that DS could just pop in twice a day and sort them out, but as Mr G refuses to come in via the window, I think DS will have to stay overnight at least.

He can go back to his own place during the day once he's dealt with the litter trays

Talking of Slim Shady reminds me that when we took Gizmo to the vet's he turned out to weigh 5.4kg which is quite a lot more than Linney.

I suppose Linney looks bigger because he has long hair.

@Pudmyboy for some reason I mostly call him Boots or shady boots!

Clearly all Gizmo’s bad behaviour in the past was just because he wanted feline friends, and Grmpy’s four thought they already had enough friends…

I'll be honest - I could jump off there too but doubt I could clamber up. Do you have a plastic crate you could put underneath so he could do two mini jumps? Maybe he's not wanting to fail and look stupid in front of the new kids.

I seem to remember Grumpy having photos of TC on a window sill trying to enter. I think he’s choosing not to come back in via a window. Just to show Mr and Mrs SB who’s in charge. 😁

Yes - he had no reluctance to come in through our windows (open or closed) 🤣.

Payday finally! I had a Tesco delivery which included a £1.50 pet grooming mitt (well, it worked out as £1 cause it bought other bits from the Keep It Handy range) I have various cat brushes and combs already but couldn't resist a bargain.

Oh my goodness, Toad and Lexter LOVE the cheap plastic grooming mitt. They're purring, pushing themselves under the mitt if I dare to stop...they are obsessed! If I knew they were this easy to please I would never have spent money on things like the furminator.

Ha! Rum.

Linney loves the Furminator but I've just tried it on Gizmo, who walked off in dismay.

Typical isn't it. I bought a furminator and multiple other cat brushes and she just bit us. Bought a rabbit brush for a quid and she loved it, to the point she would roll over so the other side could be done 🙄

Finlay has been keeping me company at home today as I’ve not been well enough to
go to work

Finlay is so handsome. He reminds me of my cat Raki who moved in with an old lady on the next street who called him Mr Grey 🤢

Sadly the mitt is not a full on glove, but just a pad. It does end up with mats of fur which reminds me of a video I saw where the woman used her cat's fur to make her (the cat!) little sliders 😳
