I've triggered the Instagram algorithm for cat grooming and there are some very calm cats out there. And also some sort of space helmet/diving bell thing you can get for the not so calm cat. I've got some quiet clippers for ours due to our evil scratchy bengal neighbour, and with another pair of hands can clip wounds.

Three of us did give the long haired cat a body trim and got away without open wounds, unfortunately her primordial pouch is white when the rest of her is tabby and the cut was just not flattering as all you could see was this massive white wobbly stomach which had previously been well hidden.

I went to the village quiz tonight and when I got home I found Linney waiting to greet me

And we nearly won the quiz!

I don't know if any of you can see this, but Gizmo has gone out and is sitting on the left, on the wall. You can just see a tabby tail hanging down.

All our cats and NMCs sit there eventually.

He stayed out till 4.30am. I was so worried and I was going through nightmare scenarios in my mind.

Gave you got a cat flap? I get mine in at 11 but they all wake me at 4 to go back out. The blooming ducks and geese are extra loud then as well. Would a cat go for a duck if it was in a canal thing?

There are no ducks anywhere near, luckily.

We can't install a cat flap as this is a council house with a special fire door.

Linney goes in and out via the window. So far, Gizmo has not done this, but I'm going to encourage him. I have no intention of waking up at 4.30 every night, just to let in a cat.
