Feliway vs Pet Remedy

Does anyone have a view on which is better for a jumpy scaredy cat? Also, do you know if you can use the Pet Remedy refills in the Feliway plug in?

I have always preferred pet remedy. But it stinks. Until I tried Feliway friends, and that's really good. Better than the optimum.

Thanks. Does it smell bad? Or just a bit herbal?

It's a kind of earthy smell. But very strong in a confined space.

My personal opinion is pet remedy is better where you have dogs and cats. Where you only have cats delay is best, I find Feliway optimum the best unless the only problem is interact conflict then I recommend feliway friends.
Feliway is cat specific pheromone
Pet remedy in valerian

Oh forgot to say in a very occasionally cat pet remedy removes their inhibitions and they go a little crazy with zoomies etc.

We've used both and personally find Pet Remedy works quicker and lasts longer. Cheaper too!

Over the years I tried every variety of Feliway and it never had any effect at all. And it costs a fortune.

Then our vet receptionist suggested Pet Remedy (I'd never heard of it). I use both spray and plug ins, and it definitely does seem to have a calming effect on my cats. And it's far cheaper than Feliway. I buy from VetUK or Amazon.

As to the smell - cheese. It's valerian which has a cheesy smell. I don't mind it, I can only smell it if I have just used the spray or pass by the plug in.

Hmm, cheesy smell doesn't sound ideal!

It's honestly not that bad - you can smell it at first but only for a few minutes!

Feliway has done nothing for my cats but Pet Remedy is really effective. I now only use it in the cat carrier and the spray does smell bad but the smell disappears quite quickly.
