Hi all.

I've had my cat insured with Tesco for years, I have just got a renewal notice and it is going to be over £40 a month and I can't really afford that. And I have never claimed.

Madam is now about 14 so I know it's going to be more expensive than a young cat. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Cat tax paid of course.

Have you tried a price comparison website?

Larger excess?

sashh · 20/05/2024 04:58

I'm going to do the comparison today.

It is probably because of her age x Definitely shop around x

Mine has shot up too and I'm really debating cancelling it or at least reducing the level of cover to try and minimise the costs. We're with Tesco as well.

If you have lifetime cover don't change it, you won't get that anywhere else

sashh · 21/05/2024 05:13

OK so I have done a couple of comparisons and Tesco is coming out top at half the price they are telling me as a renewal, so I think I need to call them.

I'm surprised that lifetime cover is available @1984Winston

Well I called them. Arthur, who answered the call has 4 bengal cats and has renewed for me to a much better deal.

Hooray for Arthur and his Bengals! Goes to show it's always worth asking the question.
