Treat from Boots led to my cat running off!!

He's still not home. It's been a few hours but I'm sure he'll be fine. Hopefully 😭.

It contains a perfume mist called Brazilian Crush Cheirosa. I was happily going through the bits and bobs, had a quick spray.
It did remind me of something, but I thought it was something teen daughter wore.
Cat has been in and out all night whittling and when he finally came up to me, I went to stroke him, he looked terrified and darted.

Why? Because this treat smells exactly like Advantage spot on!!

I've since thoroughly washed my wrist.

I'm not entirely sure what to do other than bin the perfume. Can't sleep - obviously.

Haha bless him. I got a small tube of superglue out recently the dog ran a mile as it looks very similar to the advantage tube!

I had the same with a usb drive once.

I wonder why they hate it so much?

and does the perfume kill fleas?

He still won't come near me 😭 I'm gutted, I've had since he was 3 weeks old and now he doesn't trust his mum!

I'm annoyed actually about the perfume thing, treated myself to a box of goodies for the first time ever...

Why is a partially expensive (to me) fragrance smelling like flea killer!?!

I've put it out of the way, but even after showering, washing up, painting the bathroom and going to the shops - even I'm convinced I can still smell it!

I am flea free though.

I've even tried to tempt him with some roast chicken. His eyes said:

"I'm not daft, last time you tried to hide the smell with an extra special chipolata!"

I'm so sad!

He's forgiven me, and he did make it hard work!

Looking back though, the gift contained Pillar Box Red nail varnish. Well I thought I'd have a go at that as well, I don't wear nail varnish pretty much ever...
So I can't decide whether it was the scent or my big red claws!!

I am so relieved though. I'd convinced myself he was poorly! Nah... Just me..

Do we get the cat tax?
