Flea treatment without the vet trip

I’m sure this has been done to death so apologies!
can anyone recommend a decent flea treatment for cats that I don’t need to stress the cat out with a trip to the vets?

You can get advantage(for fleas) from pet drugs online and I think pets at home also sell it

I've been using the Johnson's 4fleas Tablets for a while now - very effective. I crush them up and give with food.

I buy mine of eBay.

I go to the vet and buy Nexguard for the dogs. I think they do a cat version. You won’t need to take the cat to buy it.

I get a mail order flea treatment from itch.
Never had any issues with fleas or delivery
