Taken the plunge…second cat incoming!

So after much deliberation over whether to try introducing a second cat to my 12 year old female Jasmine, I’ve taken the plunge and in just over a week, we’ll be adopting 2 year old Nutella!

I know there’s no guarantee that they’ll get on but I’m going to give it my best effort by following all the guidance around introducing them slowly etc. fingers crossed.

She’s a lovely natured cat, seems super friendly. I’m not sure about the name though, so open to considering others if anyone has any suggestions??

Yes ginger females are more rare than males.

The rescue said she’s had 2 litters already, the first when she was only very young herself, hence she’s very small as her growth was stunted due to nutrients all going to kittens ☹️

She is gorgeous!! And looks a lot like my ginger girl who's called Rex (my son named her as we thought she was a boy ) so now we call her Rexy. She's small as well even though she's 5 now, her sister (also a ginger!) is named Cally and must have got all the nutrients in the womb as we call her the ginger pudding as she's on the large side

Nutella is a great name. My late Cheddar thought that all Ginger/ red cats should be called Cheddar! Good luck. I'm also introducing a new cat next week as well.

Not Nala!!! Every other female cat is called Nala (and the rest are called Luna). Maybe that's a bit of an exaggeration - there's the odd Cookie too.

I think we have settled on Ella as the name, as not too different from Nutella so hopefully she’ll still recognise it 🤞
