Foster and brand new babies

She's not quite a year old and has had two litters. Had seven kittens yesterday, all black like her apart from one which has a tiny white tip to her tail. She's such a good cat, so sweet! She has a home lined up and will be spayed ASAP! Babies will stay with me until they're ten weeks old then will be rehomed.

I once had to bottle feed 4 black dkittens. Put nail varnish of different colours on a paw each... Ddog did the bum washing!

Make sure that she has enough nipples to go around. Cats don't always have eight nipples.

When there's more kittens than nipples, you can end up with one kitten starving to death because it gets pushed out by the others and doesn't get fed.

They have nail varnish on a claw but we've ordered some bands.

Kits are being weighed and the two smallest are being topped up with formula.

I actually came across letters from my 4 the other day... Thank you letters for looking after them etc! From November 1998!! 4 black beauties went to Hexham all together! What a lucky family getting them! They were gorgeous!

Black cats are the best!

They're all thriving and are utterly adorable! I'm absolutely in love with the two fluffy ones, trying to convince myself that four cats in a small flat is too many!

They really are super cute.
