She's probably "crashed" in the middle of washing a tricky bit. You can usually reboot them with ear scritches.

We call that "sitting fatly". MrCat was obese when we got him, and he couldn't put his front paws together when he sat. He's now a healthy weight and can sit properly catly, but occasionally he forgets and sits with his paws wide apart like he used to when he was MrFatCat. Not that he's ever had them quite so far apart as that 😹

It's a cat thing that hooman servants are not designed to understand 😉
